Happy Halloweeeeeen!

Grandma Elaine came to visit us for some spooky Halloween fun!  She came just in time for our annual Halloween party (I think I remember saying last year was our last party...that didn't last long).  She graciously offered to stay with our little girl overnight in a hotel while we acted like adults (ahem!) and had a good time with our friends!  There were a lot of preparations still to be done when Grandma arrived, so she distracted Sophie while I made the Jell-O shots and Dan decorated the house.  Thank goodness for Grandma!

Sophie having fun with Grandma!
Sophie turned 7 months on October 28th!  Time is flying by and this precious little girl is growing and learning new things everyday!  She is very busy grabbing for everything, therefore, hard to capture in a picture sitting still!

It got cold here in Florida (65 IS cold people!) just in time for Grandma to visit, I think hurricane Sandy was to thank for this front that came through.  It also threatened our party, but lucky for us, we just got a beautiful cool evening.  I wasn't prepared to start dressing Sophie in pants!  I started going through her 9 month clothing stash and found some pants.  Our girl fits into 9 month clothes perfectly!  I guess it's time to pack up the 6 month sizes, I'm not sure that she even wore every outfit once!  Grandma Elaine took us shopping and we got a bunch of new pants and flannel pajamas to keep Sophie warm.  Thanks again Grandma!

My friend Emily also came to visit us at the same time.  It was the first time she got to meet Sophie.  She brought her a cute new outfit and they had lots of fun playing together!  We even managed to sneak away, just Emily and I, for an evening at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival.  We had some yummy food and delicious drinks.  It was great to have her in town!

Wild thing!
Because Dan and I are huge fans of Halloween, we just HAD to dress our little girl up for her first Halloween.  We met up with some friends of ours in a cute downtown area where lots of kids came to trick or treat.  Sophie dressed up as a pie (for the story about the pie costume, click here) and her friend Sloane dressed up as a bumble bee.  We didn't "trick or treat" for candy, just enjoyed seeing other little ones dressed up for the occasion.  Sophie's costume was a big hit!  We got lots of compliments, thank you Grandma Cindy for your handiwork and creativity!

Ready for some fun!
On to the new things Sophie has gotten her mouth on lately.  Since she is getting around better these days, she gets to just about anything she wants.  That being said, watch out Lucy, someone is creeping on your turf!

That's right, we now share Lu Lu's toys
And finally, a cute video of sweet Sophie

Happy Fall!
Love,
The Yorks
