September in Indiana

In September we traveled to Indiana for quite a few celebrations.  We stayed with Donna, John, and Cate.  They had quite a houseful!  Dave, Dan's brother, and his fiance Gisella, and Elaine stayed there as well.  What a great time we all had!  Dave and Gisella were celebrating their engagement, Elaine was celebrating her 80th birthday, and Grant was celebrating his baptism.

For Elaine's birthday celebration, we headed out with family and friends to have dinner at Maggiano's.  We had some delicious Italian food, some wonderful wine, and lot's of great conversations.  Donna planned the dinner and also the dessert.  Elaine wanted a small party and she got it.  One of her favorite desserts are eclairs.  So, Donna concocted an eclair tower!  Below is a picture of her dessert.  The restaurant was abuzz about the "cake", so much so that people in the kitchen were taking picture of it before it was sent to the table.  Not to mention, the eclairs were divine!  Happy 80th Elaine!!

Grant's baptism was on Sunday after mass.  We gathered with family and friends for the special occasion.  Father Hahn baptized Grant and Aunt Donna and Uncle John are Grant's Godparents. Donna and John held a little luncheon at their house after the baptism.  We had some more yummy food, delicious drinks and some sweet cupcakes.  We were fed so well over the course of the week, I'm sure we all gained a few pounds, but it was so worth it!
Grandma got Sophie a beautiful new bracelet!
